SIP Trunking

Billing & Pricing Guide

Everything you need to know about how AIVO Connect SIP trunking billing works, from platform fees to destination-based per-minute rates.

How Billing Works

AIVO Connect billing has two components: a monthly platform fee and per-minute usage charges.

Your platform plan (Starter, Business, or Enterprise) is billed on the first of each month and covers your SIP connections, included phone numbers, and platform features.

Per-minute charges are calculated based on the destination of each call. Inbound calls (calls received on your numbers) and outbound calls (calls you place) are billed at different rates. All usage is tallied daily and invoiced at the end of each billing cycle.

Billing increments are 6 seconds. A call lasting 1 minute and 3 seconds is billed as 1 minute and 6 seconds (11 increments of 6 seconds).

How Destination Determines Rate

Each call is rated based on the phone number being called (for outbound) or the originating number (for inbound). The system matches the number against destination prefixes using longest-prefix matching.

For example, a call to +1-876-555-1234 matches the Jamaica prefix (+1876) rather than the generic US/Canada prefix (+1), so it is billed at the Jamaica rate.

Toll-free numbers (+1800, +1888, +1877, +1866) have a higher inbound rate since termination charges apply, but outbound calls to toll-free numbers are free.

If a destination is not listed in the standard rate table, contact our sales team for a custom quote. We support calling to over 200 countries and territories worldwide.

How to Check Rates

There are two ways to look up per-minute rates for a destination:

1. Visit the rate table page at /connect/rates to browse and search all published destinations. You can filter by country name or dialing prefix and download the full rate sheet as a CSV file.

2. Use the Rate Lookup API to programmatically query rates. Send a GET request to /api/v1/sip/rates?destination=+15551234567 with your API key. The response includes inbound and outbound rates in BZD along with the billing increment.

Call Recording Charges

Call recording is included in all platform plans at no additional per-minute charge. Recordings are stored for 90 days by default.

Extended retention (up to 2 years) is available on Business and Enterprise plans. Storage beyond the included retention period is billed at $0.005 BZD per minute of recorded audio per month.

Recordings can be accessed via the dashboard or the Recordings API. Downloading recordings does not incur additional charges.

Monthly vs Annual Billing

Platform plans are available on monthly or annual billing cycles. Annual billing provides a 15% discount compared to monthly rates.

Monthly billing: pay on the 1st of each month. Cancel anytime with 30 days notice.

Annual billing: pay upfront for 12 months. Early cancellation is subject to the remaining balance minus the discount received.

Per-minute usage charges are always billed monthly regardless of your platform billing cycle. Usage invoices are generated on the 1st of each month for the previous month of usage.
